Working Principle:

Consists of two parts: explosion vent panel and flame extinguishing module. The vent panel responds to rapid pressure increases from deflagration, opening immediately to reduce pressure. When the expanding fireball passes through the open vent panel, it is quenched by the flame extinguishing module. The precision stainless steel mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing flames and preventing propagation, thus avoiding secondary or multiple explosions. The extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces hot gas temperature, and captures burning and unburned dust passing through the open vent panel. Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise from production equipment are minimized. As flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor, heat exchange rapidly cools high-temperature flames, venting pressure and smoke while reducing pressure waves or noise from production equipment. In industrial production, combining flameless venting devices with explosion isolation valves effectively prevents pressure waves and flame propagation to upstream workshop areas, curbing secondary explosions and reducing property damage while ensuring personnel safety.

Widely used in industries such as grain, metallurgy, chemicals, power, light industry, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, machining, and solid waste treatment. Applicable equipment includes cyclone separators, baghouse dust collectors, dust collectors, cartridge filters, pneumatic conveying systems, rod or ball mills, bucket elevators, dryers and ovens, roller mills, and buildings. The device mainly consists of a vent panel and flame extinguishing mesh. Installed on protected equipment, the vent panel remains sealed during normal operation. The structure typically adds a flame arrestor mesh to the vent panel.

With increasingly strict environmental inspections, safety is gaining more attention. Previously, vent panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure from dust explosions. However, installing these on indoor equipment is not permitted by safety regulations because it endangers nearby personnel and equipment; explosion pressure waves and flames may cause secondary or multiple explosions, posing greater risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion vent panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flameless venting + isolation technology (a more economical solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.

There are three main methods for dust explosion protection: venting, isolation, and suppression.
